Roulette is a self-initiated project creating an infographic of over 2,000 individual roulette spins.
This self-directed project transforms the raw data of roulette into compelling visual art. Each image is generated solely from the granular details of individual spins—colour, number, odd/even, high/low—every recorded element contributing to a unique visual image. To fully embody the volume of data collected, I created a short film which aims to evoke the immersive and sensory overload atmosphere of a casino. In the exhibition, this film is projected vertically onto a large, two-meter wooden roulette wheel, creating a dynamic, interactive interplay between physical and digital elements.
Spin to Win is a self-initiated design project that transforms the raw, statistical data of over 2,000 individual roulette spins into compelling visual art. Exploring the intersection of mathematics, chance, and design, this project takes the chaotic energy of the casino floor and translates it into a structured, highly compelling visual art.
Generative Visual Art
Each resulting image is generated solely from the granular details of the individual spins. Every recorded element—from the winning colour and specific number to whether the outcome was odd, even, high, or low—contributes to a unique, data-driven visual output. It is a creative exploration of how vast quantities of information can be distilled into striking graphic art.
The Exhibition: A Sensory Short Film Experience
To fully capture the sheer volume of data collected, the project expanded into the realm of motion graphics and animation. The result is a short film designed to evoke the immersive, high-energy, and sensory overload atmosphere of a casino.
For the physical exhibition space, this film is projected vertically onto a large, two-metre wooden roulette wheel. This bespoke installation creates a dynamic, interactive interplay between the tangible, physical wheel and the projected light, bridging the gap between graphic design and environmental art.
